Wilson Benesch launches the new flagship speaker The Cardinal. The Cardinal can be said to be the most advanced speaker developed by Wilson Benesch so far. It has collected the stunning work of Jinchi's research on soundboxes, units and materials for decades and has devoted all its efforts and no compromise!Although its appearance doesn't look much different from the flagship The Bishop and The Chimera of the past, it's very different in its bones.
From the beginning of the design, we aim to pursue the highest sound restoration. The treble, mid-bass and bass units used in the speaker are all designed by Wilson Benesch!(Equipped with the latest developed Semisphere treble, Tactic II midrange single, Tactic II combat bass). The purpose is to design the design with minimalist sub-twining design from the speaker single: the treble and bass are only in first-order sub-twining, and the midrange single does not require sub-twining. The minimalist sub-twining design can directly eliminate phase drift caused by sub-twining, more precise positioning, more transparent tone, and can fully utilize the efficiency of the amplifier to break through the curse of large speakers requiring high-power drive. The independent closed bass box looks like 3 bass monomers on the surface, but there are actually 5.The four basses form an isobaric push-pull matrix (Isobaric Tactic), which is two single bodies arranged one in front and one behind. This method is exactly the opposite of the level of The Chimera. The fifth bass at the bottom is also an ABR back radiant monomer. This design gives The Cardinal better dynamic performance and transient response.
&The Cardinal speaker uses the latest integrated carbon fiber alloy box structure developed by Jinchi (the British Ministry of Defense sponsors the R&D project, which directly fuses carbon fiber and metal alloys into high-strength structures) to remove any unnecessary vibration and dyeing, and also allows energy to be transmitted in the most efficient way to reduce energy retention to achieve the cleanest transparent tone performance. It further implements its design concept of the ultimate application of materials science theory.
In addition, geometric shapes are derived from natural curves“Natural Curve”Inspired natural acoustic arc optimization design can produce excellent harmonic characteristics, making the tone more balanced, and avoiding the occurrence of sound diffraction interference and the occurrence of standing waves inside the speaker. The Cardinal's latest atmospheric shell-shaped complex geometric internal sound box structure (the internal volume increases by 65% compared to The Chimera) can offset the standing wave and ensure an outstanding noise ratio. The reinforced giant base makes each 120 kg speaker as stable as a rock.
