The A4988 is a complete microstep motor driver with a built-in converter for easy operation.The product can operate bipolar stepper motors in full, half, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16 step modes, with output drive performance up to 16V and ±1 A.Generally 12V, the A4988 includes a fixed shutdown time current regulator that can operate in slow or mixed attenuation modes.The converter is the key to the A4988's ease of implementation.Just enter a pulse in the "Step" input to drive the motor to generate microsteps.No phase order tables, high frequency control rows or complex interface programming is required.The A4988 interface is ideal for complex microprocessors that are unavailable or overloaded.
During the micro -step operation, the cutting control in the A4988 can automatically select the current attenuation mode (slow or mixed).In the mixed attenuation mode, the device was initially set to quickly attenuate within some fixed shutdown time, and then slow at the remaining stop time.Hybrid declining current control schemes can reduce the noise noise of motor, increase step progress, and reduce power consumption.Provide internal simultaneous rectifier control circuits to improve the power consumption when the pulse width modulation (PWM) operation.Internal circuit protection includes: lagging overheating shutdown, underold voltage lock (UVLO) and cross -current protection.There is no need for special power sorting.
